Your Stress Impact Score

Your Stress Impact Score is 52. Pressure is showing up on several fronts, and rest is not resetting it.

Most of your answers point to one thing: a body that stays on alert. Sleep runs light, thinking goes foggy by the afternoon, and tension holds on in the neck and shoulders. That is what lifts the number, and it is very workable.

Your reading at a glance
Bottom line
Your number is lifted mostly by a body that stays on alert: light sleep, a head that goes foggy by the afternoon, and tension that holds on. All of it is workable, and the free steps below are the place to start.
Next move
Three free changes first. Then, if you want to see what is keeping the body on alert, a consultation.
01 · What your score means

Your score of 52, read in plain words.

A score in this range usually means pressure is showing up on several fronts at once, and rest is no longer resetting it. Lower is calmer, so the goal is to bring the number down over the next few months.

The three answers that did the most to lift it:

How would you describe your sleep on most nights?
You answered"Light, and I wake in the night more than I want to"
On a normal day, how clear does your thinking feel?
You answered"Foggy by the afternoon, and I lose my train of thought"
When something stressful happens, how does your body react?
You answered"It holds on, in my neck, shoulders or jaw"

This reading is built only from your fourteen answers. It is a starting point, not a medical diagnosis, and it does not replace your own provider.

Three of your answers line up into one pattern.

Light sleep, a head that goes foggy by the afternoon, and tension that holds on in the neck and shoulders. These feed each other: a body on alert sleeps lightly, a short night leaves the head foggy the next day, and a foggy, pressured day keeps the body tense into the evening. Round it goes.

None of this is unusual when life is full, and none of it is broken. Think of a phone with too many apps open in the background: it still works, but it drains faster and runs warm. What is missing is the chance to close them down.

Signs the body is resetting

  • You fall asleep easily and stay asleep
  • Your head stays clear into the afternoon
  • Tension lets go by the evening
  • A hard day is behind you by the next morning

Signs it stays on alert

  • Light sleep, or waking in the night
  • Foggy by mid-afternoon, losing your train of thought
  • Neck, shoulders or jaw tight most days
  • A hard week takes most of the next one to shake off
02 · Three free things to bring it down
At home · free · start this week

Three changes you can start this week.

These come first because they are free. Each one is matched to what is lifting your score: light sleep, a foggy head, and tension that holds on. They are the first step, not the whole answer.

01

Set a wind-down time, the same every night.

Dim the lights, put the phone away, do something slow. A steady bedtime with a steady routine before it tells the body the day is over. Give it ten days.
For light sleep
02

A few minutes of slow breathing, every day.

Breathe in through the nose, then let the breath out slower than it came in. In one trial, five minutes a day of breathing with a longer exhale lifted mood and calmed the body. Split it into a mid-afternoon and a bedtime round if that is easier.
For a foggy, busy head
03

Get outside in daylight soon after you wake.

Morning light helps set the body's daily clock, which shapes when you feel alert and when you feel sleepy. A short walk, or your coffee outside, is an easy way to fit it in.
For sleep and a clearer head

Two to three weeks tells you a lot. The check below shows whether they did their job, or whether a closer look is what brings the number down.

After two weeks of doing these consistently

Signs the changes are working

  • You fall asleep faster and wake less in the night
  • Your head feels clearer through the afternoon
  • Shoulders and jaw feel looser by the evening
  • Evenings feel calmer, easier to switch off

Signs the changes are not enough

  • Sleep is still light despite the new routine
  • Still foggy by mid-afternoon
  • The tension comes straight back each day
  • Two weeks in, nothing has really shifted

If the left column is true, the free steps are doing real work and are worth keeping. If the right column is true, something underneath needs testing to settle it. That is what the consultation is for.

03 · A story like yours

How someone with a score of 52 brought it down.

The starting point. A woman in her late forties in Boca Raton, FL came in with almost the same reading: a full life, holding it together, but sleeping lightly, foggy by the afternoon, and carrying tension in her neck and shoulders.

First, the free steps. She started with the three changes in section 02. Within two weeks she was falling asleep faster and waking less.

Then, what the steps could not reach. The afternoon fog and the tension did not fully lift, so she requested a consultation. Advanced testing, including an adrenal panel and a gut panel, showed her daily stress-hormone rhythm was running late and her digestion was part of the picture.

The plan that followed. The team kept the free steps, built a nutrition plan with health coaching around her results, and added sessions with the clinic's psychologist on mindfulness and biofeedback. Over the next few months her sleep deepened, the fog lifted, and her number came down out of the elevated range.

The free steps did real work on their own. The testing showed the part she could not see by feel.

04 · If you want to look deeper

How Aven Clinic can help.

Aven Clinic is physician-led and root-cause first. The work starts with a consultation and testing to see what is keeping the body on alert, then the team decides what, if anything, fits you.

For sleep & recovery
Advanced Diagnostic Testing

Their testing includes an Adrenal Panel, which reads how your stress-hormone rhythm rises and falls across the day.

Why it fits your resultThat rhythm is tied to when you feel alert and when you can rest, which is where light sleep starts.
For focus & mood
Holistic Integrative Psychology

Work with Dr. Monty Baker, a licensed clinical psychologist, pairing proven psychological methods with tools such as mindfulness and biofeedback.

Why it fits your resultA head that goes foggy and stays busy under pressure is what these tools are built to settle.
For body & tension
QEEG Brain Mapping & Neurofeedback

Part of their Brain Restore Program, built to support the nervous system's regulation and resilience, with brain mapping to guide it.

Why it fits your resultTension that holds on after the stress has passed is a regulation question, and this is the clinic's tool for it.
The next step is a consultation: a physician-led conversation about your health history, expectations, and goals. Testing follows only where it makes sense, and the free plan is yours either way.
A note from the Aven Clinic team

Diane, a score of 52 is very workable. It points to a body staying on alert rather than dropping back to rest, and that can change. Start with the three changes above this week; they cost nothing. If you want to know what is keeping the body on alert, that is what the consultation is for.
